This is the book.,
This review is from: The Generalship Of Alexander The Great (Paperback)
This is the book to read if you want to know why Alexander was called "Alexander the Great". While reading the book I personally marvelled at how anyone could actually physically accomplish the feats he did. It's like if Jack in "24" had to keep going like he does for 12 years instead of 24 hours.
Insight into his genius comes from fathoming his uncanny ability to miraculously overcome his enemies in every conceivable situation that can realistically be imagined, and succeed victoriously.
Beyond that is his genius for stabilizing the territory behind him allowing him to proceed with his expansion.
Also, the formulation of unique political control over his domains was unheard of and showed yet another form of genius.
Other aspects of his creative thinking come into play and are elaborated on.
In short, after reading several other books on Alexander, this is the one I would recommend above all the others.
NOTE: My book is a hardback not a paperback. But, since Amazon has gotten so big, they have gotten lazy, careless, and sloppy. That's why you find reviews for items that aren't even connected to the item you are looking at or the wrong item.
