This review is from: GSI - 3 RCA To USB Cable (Personal Computers)
the reason you can't use it for connecting laptop to tv is because of the direction of travel of the information. your laptop's video OUTPUT does not go through the usb ports, it will go through either and s-video connection or a serial port. this cable is for input to laptop, not output from it. so connect dvd player, vcr, camcorder, etc. and you're fine. if and only if your tv has rca outputs, which most do not nowadays, then you could use it to record what's on tv, but easier just to connect to your cable box or dvd player or something.

very informative & helpful, but mighty judgmental for someone who's incapable of using correct homophones. cwinse, you might try taking your own advice & do some research on basic spelling & grammar...

what the hell do spelling and grammar have to do with experience and knowledge about a particular subject?

Do you think this will work to connect a Bose system for surround sound to a tv? Our whole problem is that, like you said, the tv does not have rca outputs.

Forgive one who is not a literate in the subject as some of you are, however, if anyone can answer this I would be eternally greatful; I have three (3) old 60 min. AUDIO cassette tapes that I would love to copy and send the edited output to a friend. The tapes are standard audio (with a 10 min. section of music on one) and nothing special...no video.
QUESTION: Will this cable work if I plug the RCA cable male plugs into my cassette tape player and then pass the info thru to the USB which I will insert in my desktop computer? In other words, i suppose what I'm trying to say is the information is audio only and not video. Work with this cable or not? Thanx in advance.
