what an a amazing tablet. Consider it over the kindle fire.,
This review is from: Acer Iconia TAB A100-07U08U 7-Inch Tablet (8GB) (Personal Computers)
I was looking for a tablet but did not want the huge size. The kindle fire looked really nice. It could do every thing I wanted it to. But I was willing to wait a try to get a good deal on this tab. I picked it up when there were reberbs available for $200. I am not disapaoated with my purchase. Lest get the cons out of the way. It only has android 3.2 which by todays standards is the same as running windows xp. ICS is supposed to come to the a100 but I am hearing mixed answers on that. The camera is not that good but it works and does what I need it to. It's a little heaver then it looks but not by much. The biggest down fall is the speakers they are on one side and can be blocked by your hand very easly this is a big problem and needs to be fixed on the nexted acer 7" tab. Now for the pro. This tab is lighting fast thanks to the tera2 processer. The screen is very responsive . It can run any thing on the andriod market. It will run emulatores with ease. I love playing my backed up roms. The 8gb is plenty of space and seeing how sd cards are so cheep it's not a problem to add more memory. The blue tooth is a nice sweet deal as well. It has 3.1 hdmi out and that is so awsome. This is also great to read ebooks on kindle works well. If you have a huge ebooks collectios that you did not get from kindle or nook grab the app called aldiko it handles ebooks perfectley. (I do have a kindle ereader 3g wi 3rd gen) . The battery life is good and ther are plenty of app's that will help you maximise it's life and make it exelent. If you are thinking of buying a Kindle fire consider this first. It may cost a little more but it just might be worth it. The glare is pretty bad, but look on ebay for some anti glare protectors they help alto and work well. You can grab 3 for like 10 USD. All in all this is a wonderful tab and i expect to get years out of it.
PS I do not work for or am payed by acer in any way.
