5.0 out of 5 stars Veho muvi HD-10 cam, September 1, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Veho VCC-005-MUVI-HD10 Muvi HD 1080p Mini Handsfree Camcorder with Remote Control and Wide Angle Lens (4GB Memory Card) (Electronics)
OK, first lets clear things up. It is VERY easy to turn off the time and date on screen - (read the instructions). Second YES,. you can turn off the beeps too (read the instructions) This cam is MUCH better than the GoPro because: It has a screen. With the GoPro,m you either guess and get home to find you have recorded an hour of the sky, or pay another $100.00 for a clumsy clamp on screen. Also the veho has a 160 degree field of view. The GoPro SAYS it has a 140 degree field, but what they don't tell you is that's only for photo, video goes down to 180 degrees. The veho HD 7 and HD 10 are used by more motorcycle cops than any other and does not look like a grey cardboard box. The remote control is worth twice the price itself. Just too cool. Also the VOX feature instantly makes this a great security cam. Love it!!!

Goes "down to 180"? 180 is wider than 140.

C. G. Brown says:
Not entirely correct. The wide-angle view for the VehoHD (the 160 degree view you mention) is for the lower resolution 720p mode. 1080p mode is not wide angle. And the remote control is not required to utilize the camera, it is not integral to its operation as you insinuate. Generally, I did not like your review. A product review is supposed to identity the pros/cons of the product in question; it is not a product comparison where you constantly talk about a competing product.
