Hi George: I thought your review was thoughtful and spot on. "No Simple Victory" adds nuance to the Anglo/American version of the WWII story. We live in the era of the "greatest generation", the D-Day Museum, "Band Of Brothers" etc., but the reality on the ground was very different. I loved "No Simple Victory." I read it on Kindle, then ordered the hardback version because I wanted to be able to refer to it later. I don't know what the implications of that experience are for publishing but I suspect that like music, the demand for great writing is stronger than ever but the delivery systems are in a state of great flux. I also liked that you put your review on video (you must be a Mac user because Mac makes that so much easier to do!) Thanks for the review and if you ever want to video chat about "No Simple Victory" or "Stalingrad," "Downfall," Conspiracy," "Mein Kampf," or any of the other WWII stories that "No Simple Victory" made me want to read/watch again, email me and we'll set it up. I like technology!
