4.0 out of 5 stars A slick rechargeable touchscreen remote from Logitech, January 26, 2008
Length:: 4:27 Mins

A video review of the Logitech Harmony One, focusing on a few fun features like the motion sensor, rechargeability (with included docking station), and ability to replace 5 of our other remotes, including the specialized Tivo remote. Easy to program and easy to use touch screen makes this a very cool remote control.

Very nice review. Just want to tell you that the button you had trouble with is NOT the "Replay" button it is the "jump" or "channel previous" button. That's the one to the right of mute. The Replay and Advance/Skip buttons are labeled and are right below FF and RW. Nice remote isn't it! You're just scratching the surface, ya know!

It seems like we learn something new about the remote every day. I'm glad I wasn't going nuts because I never could program that button to jump back 8 seconds in Tivo! Hah!

Thanks for the comment!

Does anybody know for certain whether this remote has RF signal capability? My understanding is that it doesn't. Many people bring up the RF issue, but I don't see it mentioned explicitly.

Informative review. I'm wondering from your description if there are some remotes the Harmony One didn't replace, and if so, why not.

Do Not buy this remote if you use a Mac, or if you have a high-end Denon AV Receiver such as the AVR-3808Ci. The Mac s/w is broken out of the box. After an hour, when you go to Logitech's website, you'll see the patches. After patching the s/w mutiple times and adding all of the components, this s/w died losing the info. I can't recommend a consumer product which hasn't been QA'ed. Maybe the Harmony Two will be the answer.

For a moment there I thought I was listening to the guy on CNet reviewing the Harmony. Nice job. Answered a bunch of questions about the unit's ability to cope with diverse remotes.
I'll be ordering one today.

I bought mine about the same time you did and had no issues with the Mac software. I'm using a Marantz receiver.

This video review was a great help, and tipped me over the edge to drop $180 to try it out. Heath should get a commission!
