I'm a guy. I bought this particular watch because it's cheap but it comes well recommended.
So why didn't I get the men's version with the longer strap? A couple of reasons - #1 is that I don't like the straps, just the watch. #2 is that international shipping for all of the comparably-priced men's versions was around USD$40. Shipping for this one (exact same watch, just shorter band) was USD$10. It was a no-brainer. USD$38 shipped and I received it on the other side of the world within 8 days of ordering - awesome.
Now, to the watch - nice size, would slip under the shirt cuff easily enough. Classic vintage styling with a high-contrast black on white 24 hour dial and no date for that outdoorsman look and for ease of reading. The Indiglo feature works as advertised - press the crown and the dial lights up. The watch is quartz, so it's dead-accurate straight out of the box. Water resistance is only to 99 feet (30m), but it's an outdoors watch, not a SCUBA diving watch so that's OK. Although I'm not using the band on mine, I was impressed with the build quality - beefy stainless buckle and fittings, thick woven nylon strap and sewn, not glued or heat sealed construction. Very cool.
This guy in particular is very impressed with his pink-banded girly watch for its price, style and most importantly, its function. Check the user customer images for an example of just how rugged and manly this watch can be ;)
