Don't buy if you want to play online,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Age of Mythology: Including Titans Expansion (DVD-ROM)
This game is being published by all sorts of companies now and depending on who published the game you get is how you will be able to get online. The CD key that comes with the game does not work. If you google playing this game online it will tell you how to fix it. The game I recieved was published by "value soft" and on their webpage they list a address you have to mail your booklet too and then they mail you a working CD key. I can't even email for the CD KEY, very high tech huh? Now I have to wait to play the game, who knows how long.

You have to mail in the code. The company had no business in software development, and they just mass-copy and printed the (1) manual from (1) game, CD-key and all. over and over and over. You 'can' play the game solo, off line, without verification or any of that Windows Live, Blizzard verify or lose your game, or DRM crap. You just can't play multi-player on-line w/out requesting a new CD key via mail.

Although its true that "official" online support is dead, the game still has an active community by using Voobly or Gameranger.
