These cd's are good, but I believe people want the REALLY old stuff when they ask Underoath to "play your old stuff" they mean Act Of Depression and Cries of the Past.(this is what i mean at least) I wish some of that stuff was on here and thats the reason I give it three stars, otherwise it would be five stars.

you hit the proverbial nail on the head, Mason. I would love to hear what the songs from the first two albums would sound like live with vocals by Spencer & a metalcore groove like the music they are playing now. the first two reconds are almost impossible to find, so at the very least they could remaster/re-release them.

I completely agree that I would really like to see the first two albums without having to pay $50 or more... they don't even have to remaster them... just re-release them!

I concur. I personally have the 2 albums mentioned with Dallas as lead singer. It is very raw, and real. Aaron and Dallas were both very young, and still learning their own styles, but you could still hear the talent in the songs. Now that Aaron is gone, and Dallas is with MATSOD, it is clear that they "found" themselves. If you listen to Act of Depression to the most recent Lost in the Sound Of Separation (CD/DVD) the last album to have Aaron on it, it is amazing to hear the transformation! All of the songs are amazing in my opinion. I also love Disambiguation in its own right. Spencer has the cleanest screams in the business. He is easy to understand.
What i would be interested in hearing is Spencer and the team now doing the first two album songs, and see how they sound. Maybe put his own take on them, and see what happens. Maybe they are keeping those the way they are out of respect for Dallas. I am not sure.
I would say, if you have a chance to acquire any of the first 2 CDs they made, Act of Depression or Cries of the Past I would highly recommend it!!!
But this album, without it is still amazing, and sets the bar for all similar acts to come. They keep evolving, and getting better. My favorite band of all time.
I also recommend Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, II, III, Iv by the former screamer, Dallas Taylor!!

Yup, new stuff suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I was under the impression that the changing of times was their earliest album. If there's two more I want to hear THOSE... you know, when they were good.
