Just say NoNo!,
This review is from: no!no! 8800 Series Deluxe Hair Removal Kit (Misc.)This product is a dud, does not work, at least not on darker hair. I am of Indian ehtnicity and found that this device is a blatant lie that I fell for on HSN. It burns the hair off and they expect you to use the hair growth inhibitor cream and sandpaper like buffer after. Hmm if the product does what they claim WHY would we need to follow up with these 2 steps??
I actually wondered and asked the sales person if this device is only for light/blonde hair and they told me it's for all hair types.
It took SEVERAL passes over the hair on my leg to get them singed off. Of course the thermicon head runs out in about 4 weeks. Then you need to buy more..what a scam.
It did remove my arm hair a little easier than my leg hair but gave me ingrown hair near the elbows.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY if you have dark hair.

If you have dark hair but semi-light skin, you may be a good candidate for laser hair removal. I have pale skin, but the laser only works on really dark hair. Good luck in your hair-removal quest, I think I have to go back to electrolysis :(

Thank you for providing your ethnicity in your review, because that was one of my top concerns as well, as I am Sicilian Italian. Now I know not to waste my money or time.

how expensive was the thermacon tip thingy? Is that a consumable part of this device?

It's $25 for a refill which you need every 4 weeks I guess.
I don't waste my time with this nono device anymore, getting proper laser treatment done instead, groupon for 6 sessions costs $299 and that really works!
