Excellent wireless performance, perfect setup, mediocre mouse and keyboard,

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I've set this up on three computers, both Win7 and Vista. On each system setup was simply a matter of plugging in the transponder to a USB port and waiting while the OS detected it. Both the mouse and keyboard came up perfectly on all three systems. Wireless works to over 15 feet, again flawlessly. The keyboard has a slightly mushy feel and weighs less than most, with a harder-than-usual key press. I like a wireless KB to be heavy so I can work with it on my lap, so it doesn't hop around with each keystroke. This one should be heavier. There are no LEDs for cap or num lock. The mouse is imprecise and sometimes doesn't track very well. My cheapo Dell mouse, that shipped free with a system, works better. MUCH better. So: very good setup, very good wireless, cheap keyboard and mouse.

Umm, it was $15!!! I think the fact that it worked up to 15 ft away means you definitely got what you paid for IMHO. I have yet to receive mine(ordered 2 mins ago), But all I've owned is logitech mice and keyboards for the last 10 years, with no problems. My biggest complaint is that it WAS so cheap!!! Had to buy more stuff to be eligible for Super Saver Shipping, but hey, I've had worse problems!

What's your feedback now that you've (probably) received it?

Received the product and the mouse works much better on my couch than the old one(I extend my laptop to my bigscreen and surf from couch....awesome BTW!) It was literally just unpack, put batteries in, and plug in USB dongle. No pressing connect buttons or anything, just worked. End of story, works perfect!!! Keyboard is waaayy better than my old one actually. Pleasantly surprised....for $15!!! When's the last time that happened?

Not having a visual indicator when caps lock is on is a real pain when you are typing case sensitive passwords.

Agree with all the comments about the keyboard, but the mouse isn't as bad as described for me. I use it to drive a laptop connected to an HDTV. It's used to type in search strings on youtube, google and wikipedia, so no real complaints. I really like that the rechargeable batteries seem to last forever, meaning that the power-saving features work as advertised.

The mouse in this combo simply doesnt work on most surfaces. Unless you like using a mouse pad, or struggling using it on a couch or bed. The logitech M305 works much much better, But eats through batteries. I keep a pack laying on my desk lol.
