This review is from: Make Up, Don't Break Up: Finding and Keeping Love for Singles and Couples (Kindle Edition)I think you have to be really careful when you read this book. Its focus can be alot about trying to change the other person, but there are things you CAN use. It may actually be good for you to spend time apart (which seems to be the main suggestion in this book), and if you use that time to grow yourself and you need it to be a stronger person, you need to work on trusting yourself, being less dependent on someone else, being ok with being alone, etc, etc, all of that is GREAT....but if you do it because you are trying to change the other person, or convince the other person to be with you, or how much they miss you, its really not good for you or your relationship in the long run.
If you are looking for a book along these lines, I would really recommend both or either of these books:
Break Up or Break Through: A Spiritual Guide to Richer Gay and Lesbian Relationships, New! Second Edition (it is applicable to everyone, not just gay/lesbian couples)
Getting Back Together: How To Reconcile With Your Partner - And Make It Last
