5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Wonderful!!!, July 17, 2010
This review is from: A Dog's Purpose (Hardcover)
Dog lovers will absolutely love this book. The author masterfully captures what many of us would imagine to be the thought processes of our dogs, and makes the reader think about the role we play in our pets' lives, for good and for bad. While the book has its uplifting moments, make sure to have some tissues nearby as there are many, many tearful moments in the story of this dog's numerous lives. Lest anyone think that this is yet another book in the growing dog channeling genre, rest assured that this book is much more than that. This is a book that will make you think not only about the purpose of a dog's life, but the purpose of life in general.

E. White says:
This book was reccommended by the lady who takes care of my dogs nails. My dog Boo whose name was Pepper (died) and it broke my heart. It also broke the heart of my Maggie, another mixed breed, who was with me 16 years. Maggie quit eating when Boo passed and then a month later and without food, not even hand fed steak, she quit drinking water. She died three days later in my arms and rests next (door) to Boo. My nail lady says that this will help me deal with the loss. I hope so. Eileen

Book Lover says:
I am so sorry about Boo and Maggie and hope that time will bring some ease to what were clearly two profound losses.
This book will certainly ring true to you, but I beg of you to make sure that you have lots of tissues handy and put the book down if your emotions are too raw right now.
Again, may time bring you comfort and ease your mourning of Boo and Maggie.
Emily
