Hex, Shadows, and Ghosts in one volume - at last!,
This review is from: Void: Hex; Shadows; Ghosts (Paperback)
Anything but a basic overview would ruin much of the book. I'll try to be brief. Raven is a carrier of the Hex gene, which means she can link her mind to machines and make them do as she wishes. She, along with her brother Wraith, are searching for their sister Rachel, who also might be a Hex. And that's when everything goes to hell.
I don't even have a negative for this book, save for:
1) Waiting for the book to get to my house felt like forever.
And I have so many positives, I can hardly list them all. Let's stick with my first three.
1) Talk about a strong female lead! Raven is dark, intense, and intelligent. She's also cold, calculating, and emotionless. In other words, exremely human.
2) All of the characters are believeable and well-crafted. These are people you could meet on the street and have a conversation with.
3) There are no unnecessary details or events. Everything happens for a reason. And the action is nearly non-stop.
Void is an excellent book, written well and filled with adrenaline. I can't recommend it enough.
