This review is from: Healing Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection (Paperback)
2 weeks I've waited for this book.
1 week it took me to read it.
7 yaers of agony and pain ended last week after reading this book.
I can't believe it!
Pain that has been my evel companion and dictated every aspect of my life - gone!!!
Sometimes I feel the pain trying to come back, sneak on me, but now I know why it's there and I can make it disappear again after 5 minutes or so.
This is unreal. Its almost ridiculous.
I am 33 years old, and for the first time in 7 years - I fill young, and free.
This book is worth more then 7000$ - the amount I payed on painkillers and alternative medicine so far, and no doubt - would have kept on paying for many years to come.
If you ever had back or neck pain that crippled you, while doctors telling you that you have a herniated disc but can't explain why it hurts so much, or why you are in pain most of the time, even while sitting down - Well, this is the book for you.
You don't need to be in pain.
You don't need to be depressed anymore.
Just read this book and be open to what it has to say to you, think about it, really think.
I did and it changed my life, and I recommand this book to anyone who suffers from back & neck pain, and forever greatfull to John E. Sarno for giving me my life back <3.

I know it's crazy, but after I read the first chapter of Dr. Sarno's "Mind Over Back Pain," my back, neck and leg pains went away. I've suffered for 28 years, and now I know why.

My mother had exactly the same experience, but with sciatica. She had to use a cane to get around and after the pain left she told me that earlier she had thought, "Well, I guess this is just what it's like to get older." (NO!) She'd taken physical therapy and all that stuff. Finally, the doctors told her to go home and take ibuprofen, they couldn't help her any more. I got her this book and as she read it the pain disappeared. She told me that when the pain came back she'd sit down with the book and read it for awhile til the pain went away again. The pain came back less and less severely, and less often, til it just never came back. She hasn't had sciatica or back pain in over ten years. If it's not working for you, go see a therapist - i.e., a head doctor, not a back doctor - but one who is thoroughly versed in Dr. Sarno's work. THAT is the way to freedom from pain; comfort! Ease! Freedom! It really DOES work, because I've seen it happen! Maybe not for everyone - but give it a chance. Be humble. Own your part in the creation of the pain and you can own your part in the cure.
