Intelligent consumer, please read before purchasing,
This review is from: Mass Effect 2 DLC Collection [Online Game Code] (Software Download)
It doesn't matter what star rating I give the game so long as people read this. Here's a helpful post from Reddit before you decide to purchase:
"The ME2 DLC Collection explicitly states that it gives one copy of ME2 and enough Bioware points for the dlc listed (2480 in total) usable on any game - this means you can spend them on the other ME DLC if you so choose. At a conversion rate of $1.25/100 points (normal price) this makes those points worth $31. With the coupon the collection, including the game (which has been as low as $5 before) is $25, meaning you would save about $11 via this deal. If you're only interested in the Bioware points, like many of us, please note that this sale only brings them down by about 0.0025cents (one quarter of one penny) each, and in total you would only save $6 over buying the dlc at their normal prices. Because the points almost never go on sale this is still a deal, but don't rush into this thinking you're saving a load of money. Also, make sure first that you want exactly 2480 points worth of DLC, whatever they may be, so as not to waste money!" - Mikegrann

The price will drop to 29.99 on Jan 10 2014 till Jan 12th. It is part of an Editors Choice sale that gave you $5 credit to be used now if you bought a game some time in the month of December. For people with that $5 credit, the effective price will be $24.99. I already have ME2 so I will consider whether to pick it up at that price just for the DLC. Hope this helps.

Excellent! Thank you, C. Wanjala. I will edit my original post with your comment on top.
Unfortunately, I've taken to looking at the reddit pages to try and clarify how this sale works, but I can't seem to figure it out exactly. I indeed know about the $5 off promotional codes (just used one to buy the Freyja bundle), but the Editor's Choice sale as a whole seems a bit jumbled.
Nevertheless, thanks for your help.
EDIT: lol. I love how people are giving me thumbs down even though they have no idea what we're talking about, haha. Oh, silly buffoons! :D

I think it's because you posted a one-star review without any explanation for why you supposedly hate it...

Based on today prices (07th February 2014):
Mass Effect 2 (plain) = $14,60
Mass Effect 2 DLC Collection (ME2 + 2480 BW points) = $50,95
If 2480 BWP pack is worth aprox. $31, then buying both parts sepparately:
$14,60 + $31 = $45,6
Could be that Amazon is focusing too much into Valentine's Day deals and forgetting the rest?

I meant in regards to my comment, not the original post. Also, you're comment isn't looking too bright, either. Nowhere did I mention hating the product. Might I suggest some beginner reading courses?
