This review is from: The Vampire Diaries: Season 2 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
As I understand it, The Vampire Diaries is supposedly aimed at teenage girls, well I am neither, yet (as far as I am concerned) this series is tied with NCIS as the best program in TV, the BLU-RAY disc's are stunningly well done, the transfers are near perfection, the sound is well balanced and dynamic, the performances are first rate, the stories are great, and constantly go off in directions that are full of surprises, not to mention fun, I look froward to every episode, and can hardly wait until season 2 is out on BLU-RAY, so I don't have to constantly be distracted by the idiotic computer generated blurbs across the bottom of the screen, you know the ones that tell you what you are watching (wow they think were dumb) what's coming up next(gee I can't wait to find out), thanks for telling me, what's coming up next Tuesday, next month, next year, log on to this or that link, tell us how good we are, bla bla bla et infinitum, makes the decision to buy the BLU-RAY a no brainer, the same applies to season 2, it's just as involving and the Blu-Ray discs are just as well done, can't heap enough praise on this series or the BR transfers

I'm not a teenage girl, and I love the show too. I had a hard time find a new show after Lost and Heroes went off the air. But The Vampire Diaries now fill the void left by Lost. Plus, seeing Boone...uh, I mean Ian again is great.

This is, without a doubt, the BEST TV show I've watched since 'LOST' and it trounces all over both 'Twilight' and 'True Blood'. :-)

One of the great things about this show is, it's a rare show that you can't tell how the plot is going before it does, with this show you think it's heading in one direction but no, it goes in a different direction alltogether, but now I think Klaus is bent on turning Stephan into a Vampire/Lycanthrope (sp) hybred, notice how he bit into the girl as a Wolf before having Stephan finish her off, just my guess, we shall see

I loved season 1 and I just received season 2 on Blu-ray from Amazon. Based on these fantastic reviews ( 95% five- star), I will start watching it immediately!! I can't wait, and I am "neither", too.
