Bad tablet. Poor response.,

This review is from: Monoprice MP1060-HA60 Graphic Drawing Tablet (Personal Computers)I was hoping this would be a good replacement for my aging WACOM tablet. It is not even close.
First the pros: It's cheap. Has a row of visible buttons great for a right handed person. Not for a left handed person it's clumsy. Buttons are configurable. The stylus has a good feel when it works.
1. The driver refused to work on a Vista system (4GB, dual monitor). I cannot upgrade to windows 7 just yet.
2. The driver interfered with the mouse. The pen flicks did not work.
3. Pen did not show pressure sensitivity with AutoDesk Sketchpad.
4. The battery holder is VERY loose. As you put the cover back on, the battery can slide off the spring.
5. Pen sensitivity is minimal with Manga EX4. I played with the settings and got nowhere.
6. The cable end going into the tablet is loose and liable to break. At least on mine.
I got the stylus to work briefly when I closed Outlook. I wonder what that has to with Microsoft Outlook. Start outlook again and the stylus is not responsive. With outlook off, it has a noticeable lag or simply does not work.

I'd blame your issues more on Vista than the tablet. You're running one of the worst OS's to ever come out of Microsoft.

You might want to try this: Uninstall the drivers that came with the tablet. Go to UC-LOGIC's website (easy to find on Google) and download the drivers from there. Once you've install them, restart your computer. Plug your tablet in, but make sure to do it before running any (art) programs. Another thing to check is the pen. If the battery is going bad it will cause problems. Try putting a new battery in your pen and see if that helps at all.
Lastly, I've tried the same drivers on Vista and they worked fine. (I don't own Sketchpad though so I can't say if it works specifically with that one.) It's never interfered with the mouse. (Though if you have the pen near the tablet while you're using the mouse it will conflict--Wacom does the same thing.) I have tried it with Manga Studio with no problems.
It's possible the drivers are conflicting with your system or you just got a lemon. I hope you eventually find out what the problem is... :(
