3.0 out of 5 stars I am not sure a parent designed this mobile..., January 18, 2011

This review is from: Tiny Love Classic Mobile (Baby Product)
I love most things about this mobile:

That it is battery operated (and you don't have to crank it)
That you can adjust the volume or turn it off entirely
That you can have the night light on or off, regardless of whether the sound is on
That the arm detaches and you can keep the base as a night light and music player
That my daughter thoroughly enjoys watching it

HOWEVER:

The mobile has two plastic shapes attached to each arm that go CLACK! CLACK! every time the mobile rotates, so when I have the sound off and am hoping to lull baby to sleep by watching the hypnotic mobile--CLACK! CLACK!--it wakes her up again. Infuriating. More infuriating is that there appears to be no way to remove them. I got out a screw driver and started taking it apart only to find out that the screws used have a triangular shaped inset so can't be unscrewed with a Phillips or regular screwdriver. So I am going to have to tape the plastic bits to the mobile to keep them from CLACKING--which will look very classy indeed. Too bad because otherwise it was a great purchase.

Yup!! I found the CLACK CLACK very annoying also. As soon as my daughter would close her eyes, it's CLACKED! So I tapped them! Other than that, she LOVES it!!!!!
