Best drop protection,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iBallz Original Universal Case for iPad 1-4, Galaxy 10, Surface and 10-12-Inch Tablets (Personal Computers)
I bought the Iballz shock absorption harness and believe me, it works. For something so simple, I was shock at how well it work. I'm not one of those owners who had to fall victim to a few falls before seeking out good protection, that's called wise after the fact. One thing anyone buying this product should know is, it protects the iPad from fall on realitively even to uneven surfaces, but if it were to fall on an elevated object like a stone or something then you would be out of luck.
About the actual product itself, please don't tighten the harness too taut, because that puts added pressure on the balls and if/when It does fall, the probability of one or two of the balls cracking is 85% great. I'm speaking from experience. I've never had a genuine fall, but the amount of times I actually threw my iPad3 in the air just to prove to my friends and onlookers how good iballz worked I eventually broke two of the ball, so,I bought a second one and kept the two remaining good balls.
So here's how I have mine set up, Ghost Armor on the front and back of the iPad which is something similar to Zagg Invisible Shield, had that on my ipad2 but switch to GA this time around. Same application process, just seem a little stronger/thicker than Zagg IS. Iballz harness around the corners and Iballz neoprene soft case. Sounds like a lot? Yeah, I know, but I'm not spending $900 + on a device and be cheap on protection. I have to keep my stuff good because I always sell to do the upgrade.
I gave 4 stars because I was able to break the balls but that was all forceful.
And for those who want something a lil different I would also recommend GumDrop DropTech Series had that on my ipad2
