Add USB 3.0 On Your PC & USB To Your Android Phone,
This review is from: [USB3.0 Hub + OTG Adapter] Inateck 4-port USB 3.0 Hub Bus-powered with OTG Adapter fits Laptops, Ultrabooks and Tablet Pcs and Android Phone and Tabs [Samsung Galaxy S2/ S3/ S4/ NOTE/ NOTE2/ Tabs, Nexus, LG Phone, Sony Phone, HTC Phone] (Electronics)
This is a great way to increase your USB 3.0 ports, while adding USB to your android phone.
The hub is made of plastic, which makes it sturdy but light. In the hand it has a nice feel, the metal facing gives it a premium touch. The cord is nice and thick, and just the right length.
One of the best features is that it does not require a power adapter, unlike others on the market. All you have to do is plug the hub into any USB 3.0 port. Once plugged into the computer, the driver will automatically install, it is "Plug & Play". Now you will be able to transfer data up to 5Gbps. Since having this, I am able to expand my limited number of USB 3.0 ports.
The "OTG" (On The Go) adapter, this is where all the magic happens. Just slide this adapter on the USB end, and now you can add USB capability to your Android Phone. All I can say is WOW, who would have thought this was even possible? Now you attach flash drives, hard drive, and even a mouse, your imagination is the limit.
Inside the box you will find everything you need to add some extra USB 3.0 ports. This hub will also work in a USB 2.0/1.1 port, but with decreased speed. You can use the hub on: flash drives; external hard drives; cell phones; tablet; anything that has a USB port.

while using the micro USB for OTG, can the full size USB be plugged into a power source to charge the phone/tablet at the same time?

A. Karman says:
Obviously not. (Watch Deon's video.) The micro USB connector is an adapter which fits over the USB type-A connector. There are not two separate male USB connectors.

Truth B Spoken says:
Which phones or tablets did you try connecting via the OTG connection successfully?
I tried Samsung Tab 2, HP ElitePad, Samsung Tab 3 7", LG E970, Sony Xperia C2004 and Xperia Z1 phones WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS. The OTG functionality simply does not work. The USB3 hub worked fine.

The video product does not match (or no longer matches) the product listings. Two completely different products. Great video & review but not relevant from what I see on my listing.
