The book is a keeper.,
This review is from: Keepers: Two Home Cooks Share Their Tried-and-True Weeknight Recipes and the Secrets to Happiness in the Kitchen (Hardcover)A lot of good points have been made about the book, but I'd like to chip in, too.
* The book is beautiful. The photography is so well done that Keepers could be a coffee table book! The layout is attractive and functional, making it possible to to focus on the parts that are most necessary at the time - the tips, the stories, the recipes themselves.
* The stories and anecdotes are inclusive. The authors feel like friends after reading about their lives, friends, and families.
* The recipes are appropriate for all levels of cooks with a time crunch. They provide variety and the promise of flavorful, healthy food (which isn't always easy to achieve when family and work duties pile up).
We received Keepers as a gift, and we will give copies to other friends as gifts in the future. The recipes will be "keepers" in our repertoire; the book will be a "keeper" in our kitchen.
