The essential guide for vegetable gardening!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Garden Way's Joy of Gardening (Paperback)
This book is the quintessential guide for anyone who has an interest in vegetable gardening. In it, Raymond demonstrates several techniques, all of which I have tested and found to be very useful (especially in norhtern Illinois clay!) To me, the sections on starting plants and on information about each vegetable, arranged by family, are cores that everyone should have a knowledge of before starting a serious vegetable garden. Especially promising are his eternal-yield garden plans, which require no additional fertilizer after starting. My hope is that someday, this technique will be practiced by farmer and gardener alike. If you're looking for a good vegetable gardening text, look no further...this is it!
