Nice alternative to normal Earl Grey,
This review is from: Teavana Earl Grey Creme Black Tea, 2oz (Misc.)
I'm not usually an Earl Grey drinker. I find that the bergamot used in it can be too strong, or not strong enough, and too many teas go one way or the other. However, this Earl Grey Creme strikes a decent balance, I think in part to the addition of the 'creme.' It's not a true creamy taste, like vanilla creamer or a dose of milk, but it mutes some of the stronger bergamot, making it more palatable for those of us who don't like our Earl Grey strong. And, there's little blue cornflower petals in it, that look beautiful when brewing. I'm not sure what they add to the tea besides a pretty colour, but I like them.
The problem I have with this Earl Grey probably lies with me, but I have a lot of trouble brewing it without it having a fairly strong bitter taste to it. I follow Teavana's instructions for brewing, but I suspect I leave it steeping just a touch too long, as it always comes out bitter. I know black teas can be a little bitter, as part of their nature, but this one seems unusually so, even with the addition of the 'creme' to mellow it.
