This camera has a defect that Foscam.us will not fix. Their support is awful. Find another camera,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Foscam FI8910W Pan & Tilt IP/Network Camera with Two-Way Audio and Night Vision (Black) (Camera)
This device is distributed by Foscam Digital Technologies LLC (...). They are a "company" in the sense that they have a website and they sell these cameras. Aside from that, I don't think they are a real company as they provide laughably horrible support and in regards to this camera, it has a design defect that Foscam knows about but will not fix nor will they correct the misinformation in their marketing materials.
This device is marketed has having both 2-way audio and wireless, but these 2 functions do not work together. You can not use 2-way audio when the device is setup to work wirelessly.
Note that some users have said that they can get the audio to be "not horrible" by removing the antenna (Foscam will tell you to do this as well), but this doesn't fix the issue and it severely limits the range of the wireless functionality. This is not a fix.
Foscam.us doesn't answer their phone. They don't return messages. And they will stop returning emails once they know you have this issue.
Also be aware that the internals of this device can be found in many other cameras. You will be better served buying a non-Foscam device.

I'm using the 2-way audio just fine. Not sure what your issue is.

Congrats for you!!
My issue is as stated above. It is the 5 paragraphs of text that you replied to it. The issue is known and is discussed numerous places online. If you aren't having this issue, consider yourself lucky.

Out of the box setup, and I'm using two-way audio fine, using wireless...no antenna removal. It doesn't appear to work remotely, as I just get one-way audio, but then again I haven't played around with that feature at all since I don't really need it when operating it remotely.
They do monitor their forum online, as I see moderators commenting at least once/day to questions. Have you attempted to post there for guidance?
As for customer service for wireless cameras, you will find their support similar to other companies that provide these products.....99% of their support issues relate to the router configuration and port forwarding, rather than anything else...something entirely beyond their control. Given this, it makes sense to have minimal phone support. But, if you want them to install the product remotely, they will do this for a fee. I was tempted to use this feature since I was having issues with my router....fortunately, I figured that out.

It works wirelessly and it works remotely. I have 2 way audio using the FoscamPro iPad/iPhone app and it works great. The only thing I have not been able to do is get it to work on my iPhone when on 3G, but when on WiFi, even a different network, it works great.

I just installed my camera and the 2 way "audio" SUCKS. I agree with what you're saying.
ALL their phone apps, for this camera, doesn't work with 2 way audio, unless you pay, which hmm isnt listed in the listing.
Which camera did you find to be better? I am returning this horrible thing.

G. Denny says:
You don't have to "pay" to make the audio work "wirelessly." It works fine out of the box and with the included software. If you want it to work "remotely" then you may have to buy the app, but that's not what this reviewer was saying. The fact is that it does work wirelessly and it's probably operator error if it doesn't.

I'm glad it worked for you, this feature absolutely does not work on my device. This is a known issue with this camera, but it obviously didn't impact all devices as not everyone had the issue. But the point is moot as there are newer versions available. Have a cookie.

No 2 way audio, anyone that says differently either works for Foscam, or is a flat out liar. You can listen just fine, but transmitting intelligible audio wirelessly (on a stable fast, fast, fast network) to the camera DOES NOT WORK on ANY of the FOUR foscams I own.

Thank you for the warning. The support and warranty situation appears to be rather complicated.
On the Chinese manufacturer's website (Shenzhen Foscam Intelligent Technology) they list one "local reseller" for the US.
The website of that reseller says: " In order to receive FREE TELEPHONE TECHNICAL SUPPORT as well as our US BASED WARRANTY SERVICE, you must purchase directly from Foscam US or from one of the Authorized Dealers listed below. For sales on Amazon.com, support and warranty extend to those products sold by Amazon (Ships from and sold by Amazon.com) as well as from Foscam Digital Technologies LLC (Sold by Foscam Digital Technologies LLC and Fulfilled by Amazon)"
If you click on "Buy from Amazon" on the manufacturer's website, they currently list three "Genuine Foscam Resellers on Amazon" for the US.
The manufacturer's website has an online technical support forum, which announces firmware updates and gives advice.
Judging by the support forum, there seem to be a lot of firmware bugs in these very complex products.
