The Greatest Sports Rivalry I Never Heard Of,
This review is from: Rush (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD UltraViolet) (Blu-ray)
I went in to see this movie with absolutely no idea what it was about, other than race cars (I prefer drag racing, Formula 1 is one of those European things I never paid attention to). Now I am obsessed with both Hunt and Lauda...the cinematography is great, the 'feel' of the era is palpable, the racing scenes are exciting, the casting was brilliant...all in all a wonderful suprise. Even if you aren't a racing fan, it's worth a look. And the soundtrack...wonderful!

Well you need to learn about Senna vs. Prost, Michael Schumacher vs. anyone, etc. Great racers, great rivalries!

+1 on seeing Senna then head to the internet to find the real story, not the glossed over hero he was made out to be, he was fierce competitor that would not hesitate to crash you out of a race.
Here is to hoping you might tune in to some F1 races next season, do some reading during the off season (now in the winter) because like Rush, 1/2 of the story happens on the track, the other happens off the track. It is a fun racing series to follow.

Formula 1 is world wide not just European. Drag race on the other side is just in US. U should go to Austin, TX to make a better idea

That is NOT true. Drag racing exists in Europe and Australia.

Contemporary F1 is pretty good too. Right now Sebastian Vettel is pushing for 5 championships in a row and if he wins the first race of the year will break a 60 year old record for most consecutive race wins. I may have to get up a 5 in morning to watch most of the races, but it is worth it to see such brilliance.

I knew about the true story behind this film, but seeing it brought to life by ron howard who is just phenomenal director, part of me was skeptical when renting it as i thought I was in for something like Driven, or days of thunder, So glad to be proven wrong. A must see for anyone who loves racing or just good old fashioned pissing contests between men with thier toys.
