5.0 out of 5 stars Tells the Unavoidable Truth About Fossils and Evolution, October 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Evolution: The Fossils Still Say No! (Paperback)
Ardent evolutionists may demean the author and work all they want, but the facts presented by it just won't go away. Using quotes, in context, from evolutionists themselves, scientist Dr. Gish clearly shows how the fossil record is full of discontinuities. Molecules-to-man evolution, as ostensibly supported by fossils, is far from proven.

Are you saying
(1) the facts presented by science in support of evolution WILL go away or
(2) the facts presented by science in support of evolution "don't exist"?

This book is irresponsible, and exists only to deceive. Imagine a book that instructed people to use household cleaners in their meals. You can't say, anyone stupid enough to do that deserves to be poisoned. Someone will read it and believe it, as you demonstrate by your wholehearted embrace of the belief that this book actually replaces an entire field of scientific study, and your opinion was arrived upon not by actually studying the science of evolution, but getting a primer (of sorts) on the subject via the very same book!

Most of us are not in the habit of filling in the gaps in our knowledge with the supernatural. That is what you are proposing. It is like someone playing connect-the-dots by drawing smudges between each dot. A line serves the purpose just as well. Call us atheists. Call us materialists. In the end, we accept the physical reality around us.

Oh, by the way, as supporters of Gish will tell you, my lips are curled back in a fierce snarl, flecked with spittle, while my hands shake with irrational rage as I type this.

It's a well-established fact that Gish never quotes evolutionists in context. He is a quote miner. He, like all other creationists, never do any real research. They just skim (mostly outdated) books by real scientists and pick out quotes to twist to suit their agenda. Just pick up the books he cites and read them. You'll soon see what a horribly dishonest man Gish is.
