It's the wii, but it's still fun,
This review is from: Madden NFL 13 - Nintendo Wii (Video Game)
Other reviews here are just flat out misinformed about the Wii version of Madden. There is Franchise Mode, Fantasy Draft and roster updates are available through wi-fi. There is no point going on and on about how the graphics are no good. It's the mechanics and gameplay that should concern you. It's a football game, and as such it delivers. This may well be the last Madden put out for the wii, and imho it is the best one put out so far. You have multiple control options (classic controller, wiimote and nunchuk, or wiimote sideways), multiple gameplay options (including practice, Franchise, 5 on 5, and Fantasy Draft). I can't say if it's a major improvement over last year's offering, but it is better than Madden 10 and the several that I have owned before that. If you don't own a ps3 or 360, and enjoy football, this is a good wii game.

Carl Sagan says:
They have destroyed the Madden franchise and the Wii version has a subset of the features in the other versions.

Sorry, but online play is gone, finished, done. They kept the wifi logo on the box to let you know that you can still do roster updates. What this version lives up to is the continuing trend of EA ripping features out of the game with each new iteration. Online play is just the latest casualty.

Dude, you have no idea what YOU are talking about, so you'd better get your facts straight. Franchise mode IS available on the wii version. I own it. I've played it. The info that you are talking about (careers mode) is only on the xbox and ps3. The EA forums don't even bother talking about the Wii. It's true that there is no online play--only roster updates, but franchise and fantasy draft ARE there. So you "get a clue before YOU do a review." Unless you are like an 8 year old, you should be ashamed of yourself. I'm ashamed of you.

Ernest Gundel says:
Nobody said Franchise mode is not available (only that the Madden franchise has been destroyed). Be ashamed of yourself.

people did say--not only said but said i was a clueless idiot for saying otherwise--that there is no franchise mode on the wii version, but they have since revised their review and comment, (only after trying to discredit my review and posted comment)

Howdy Mike, Can you tell me what has changed from Madden NFL 2011 for the Wii and what has stayed the same? Since this most likely will be the last version released on the platform, I'm curious, but I don't want to buy a new game, at full price, if little to nothing much has changed; thank you.
