nice value tablet,
This review is from: Acer Iconia A200-10g16u 10.1-Inch Screen Tablet - Titanium Gray (Personal Computers)
I have had this tablet for several days.
The good: screen is bright and sharp(I run it at 40%, very good indoors), light weight without seeming frail, 1 gb of ram, fairly snappy web surfing, textured back for better feeling grip, runs Netflix.
The bad: speaker volume is very poor, trying to hear a movie in anything but an absolutely silent room is not going to be possible(4.0.3 seemed to increase speaker volume very slightly, still poor). Auto correction under 3.2 did not work at all( update to 4.0.3 fixed).
If your not worried about getting the latest 4 core monster tablet and looking for a good value in an android tablet, this is it.
Ice cream sandwich(Android 4.0) is a really nice improvement.
Web surfing seems a little faster in page loads, auto correct works.
Also adds astro file manager.

I checked for updates for ICS. It said not updates available yet. Did you get ICS as an OTA update?

I got a "leaked" version.
Official release is not until the 12th or so, I think.

'Wastedtime' just posted about 6 hours ago about the automatic ICS update ruining his tablet. Has anyone else have any problems?

Absolutely no problems here with ICS update. I bought my A200 about a week ago and first thing I did was update to ICS. Went smoothly without any problems whatsoever.

Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear. Mine should be here in about 5 or 6 days from Amazon.

You'll love it! The only problem that I have, albeit a minor one, is that when I open up a browser or an app that needs internet access the table initially reports no Internet connection. A second later all is fine. Not sure if it is an ICS, Acer, or maybe my wireless router issue (ASUS router). Please let me know if you experience the same. I would suggest trying Honeycomb before upgrading as I wonder if it's ICS that is the problem.

Yes, I was planning on using Honeycomb for a while and hoping that it won't automatically update the first time I use it. I don't care for automatic updates, like to be in control...lol. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Again...Received my A200 on the 24th. I have not had that problem. I used Honeycomb for a couple of hours and went straight to ICS. Upgrade was a breeze. This is my first ever experience with Android and so far so good. It's the only OS that I have no experience with so I thought this tab would be an inexpensive way to get acquainted. one thing, I cannot get Adobe Flash on it. It says Flash we be available soon for my OS. What's that all about? BTW, thanks for the tip on the Boat browser. It's much nicer!
