1.0 out of 5 stars NO!, May 19, 2013

This review is from: The Millennium Bug (Amazon Instant Video)
Everything about this is HORRENDOUS, the effects, the lack of cgi, the MONSTER SUIT! The movie, even without the monster is really HORRIBLE, the rednecks, are repulsive, and very HORRENDOUS and they did a HORRIBLE job of getting you to root for the family, once the monster shows up though, it just turns incredibly HORRENDOUS! Lets hope for a REFUND, or at least NO more movies like this.

I respect that you did not like the film, and I respect half of your opinions, but honestly, I was going to stop at "the lack of CGI," but then I acidentally glanced at the end of your review itself, and got intrigued. I forced myself to read through your assaniting review. You know how ignorant you sound? The stuffa bout the rednecks I can understand, and even the stuff about the effects, as some of them are bad, but the lack of CGI? You know what, CGI doesn't make movies smartass! In fact, practical special effects will always look better if done right, because it is physically real. And a monster suit? Really? There exist plenty of amazing monster suit effects, and I am sure you've seen some of them. Actually... I am starting to wonder if this review of yours were just a joke. Because it feels like it.

I was under the impression - just from reading the blurb thingy - that the rednecks were supposed to be repulsive.

Also, there's a tiny, tiny amount of horror movies with CGI used well - and many, many horror films ruined or at least crippled by CGI. Horror doesn't need CGI.
