First off, this is a beautiful watch. I don't normally like brown watches (or belts or shoes), so I was hesitant in wearing this. But what gets me is the FACE - it's this wonderful rich somewhat-shiny brown color with a hint of red to it. I love it. The band is nice and thick but still supple and smooth. Smells great too!
The face is cool because it not only tells the time, but the MONTH and actual DAY of the week! That's great! I don't need or use that bottom dial - it tells you what hour your in within a 24 hour period. So in the afternoon, 2:00 would be 14 on that lower dial, because you're in the 14th hour of the day. Superfluous info, I think.

The first thing I noticed about this watch, is that it's kind of hard to tell time. When I first opened it up, it was dim inside my house and I couldn't tell which hand was which: The Hour and Minute hand, when viewed in dim light, look the same. They appear to be the same length. This is because the glow-in-the-dark insert on each hand is the same length - so when viewed in dim light, they look the same! In better lighting, you can see the minute hand is longer - it has a slightly extended black edge, but still it's hard to notice.

So, while it is a beautiful watch, I have a hard time telling time on it! I should give it 3 stars, but I do like the way it looks.

Hi Justsomeguy, the circle at the bottom that tells you "what hour of the day you're in" is actually giving you Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and can presumable be set for a different time zone than the one you are in. This can be quite useful.

Ah ha. Thanks for the clarification. I wear this watch most every day and have gotten quite used to it's large size. So much so, that after putting on my old square Timex that I've worn for YEARS, I realized how small and un-manly it is compared to this watch! I am quite sold on this design and size now and it will be my go-to watch from now on! Thanks for reading!!!
