It's a fun game !,
This review is from: Fuse - Playstation 3 (Video Game)
As a PS3 player, I always wanted a game similar to Gears Of War. Fuse is similar to GOW, and I really enjoyed it. It took me 9 hours to finish the game all by myself( rushing of course ). Anyway, what I love about this game:
1- Ability to control all 4 characters at any time
2- Interesting story
3- Very interesting locations from China to outer space
4- cool guns.
5- interesting customizations, you can change skin of your character & gun + team perks and weapon upgrades
6- AIs are really well designed and intelligence. Compared to Resident Evil Raccoon City's AI, this game has done a good job on AI.
7- Game offers something like Arena which enemies attack you and your team from all over the place, which is a very interesting aspect of the game.
8- Teamwork is really necessary in this game. Like Uncharted 3 (coop) on Crushing difficulty !
What I hate:
1- The game is 9-10 hours long, but it gets really repetitive after 5 hours. Basically as other reviewers pointed out, all you do in the game is to open doors with your teammates, and kill 20-30 enemies and then kill a big boss. Occasionally, you need to climb and slide from one side to another. However, interesting upgrades and environments made it fun for me.
2- They could use more stealth and strategy in the game. %90 of the time you are randomly shooting things and getting points. I expected to see more hiding and takedowns, but after 2-3 takedowns, every enemy turns toward you and shoot you to death. Also, I wanted to see some puzzles in the game, but there are non.
3- Some sound effects are really bad, it's like they took it from Half-life 2.
That's all the negative things that I can think of. Overall it was an entertaining game for me. To sum it up I can say this: Fuse= Uncharted 3+ Resident Evil Raccoon city + little bit of Gears Of War.

Is the four play co-op offline or do we need to have a lan line to play co-op with your friends?

You can play offline. That's actually what I did. I finished the game all by myself and then played it again with other players online. You can also do split screen as well.
