This book will change how you look at starting companies,
This review is from: All In Startup: Launching a New Idea When Everything Is on the Line (Hardcover)
The biggest idea this book left me with was this:
ALWAYS check your assumptions. At the point you decide to start a company there are an immense amount of assumptions you will make. Talented individuals check those assumptions, and verify, as close to putting someone's money where their mouth is, that those assumptions are true.
So many people believe their assumptions are true because they have to be true in their model of the world, rather than pragmatically seeking out the actual truth. What Diana Kander shows us within this short, though thought provoking book is what happens when our assumptions are not backed by TRUTH seeking pragmatism. It shows us the road so many people have been on, and how to get back on the right one all with a fantastic, engaging story.
