Good value but has a major issue,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy - Playstation 3 (Video Game)
So I was looking forward to this product, than I got it. First off the games are on one disc, but you have to completely install 2 and as if you downloaded the game. To have all three games you will need 17 GB of hard drive space. What is worse you still need the disc to play, 2 and Brotherhood, even though the entire game is on your hard drive. It is ridiculous 17GB is way to much.
The set is still a good deal, you are getting the games much cheaper than if you bought them individually but it would be nicer if they came on three discs and did not require so much hard drive space, or at least let you play with out the disc.

Do you have to install all 3 games at the same time, or can you pick the which game you want to install? If you have to install all of them to play 1 of them, that's a bit silly and could really mess up people who don't have a lot of spare HDD space. Having to have the disk to play is pretty common for PS3 games, though.

Do you have the option to install AC:R or is it disc only? Thanks

you have the option to fully download AC II and Brotherhood, but it's really a repackaged version of Revelations.

Most games require a disc. And those that do are generally a partial install, even if it's a lot of information.

Yes most games do require disc AND a partial install, but Jack I think the main point of everyone's concern is that instead of just installing data which would be arguably fine for some, it installs them as it would for downloaded games making two new icons in your game menu... you can't however play them without the disc so doing it this way is fairly stupid on ubisoft's part.

you always need the disk its their way of preventing you from selling the game to someone else after install. plus the whole game is not downloaded just most of it

As someone who owns a 20gb model because it's backwards compatible, this review is extremely helpful. I'll be sticking to the 360 for my AC games. Thank you, OP.

Was thinking about getting this since i never really gave this series a go but i don't have the space for this thanks to ps+, already have to delete and re-download stuff all the time. I am confused on why they would make the set like this rather than like they have for all the other game packs on ps3 which just tossed the dlc codes in the regular boxes and tossed them all into a sleeve.

PS3 HDD can be upgraded relatively inexpensively and trouble free. Still hassle of digital copy and disc copy combined, lowers value to some. I didn't knock off a star for this, though.
