This review is from: Big Station (Audio CD)
I've been a fan since True Believers and I can't think of one album by Alejandro Escovedo that has disappointed. This latest offering features a strong set of new songs sung, played and produced to perfection. I have had the good fortune to see the man in London several times over the years with gigs performed at some of our top theatres and smallest clubs - even a church!. I have managed to convince many of my friends who are long time Bruce, Neil Young and Los Lobos fans of the importance of this artist and the word has spread far and wide - at least in my neck of the woods. Big Station swaggers like Bruce used to, and "Party People" is better than any song on Exile On Main Street - IMHO! I'm looking forward to seeing the band in July and see him perform some of these little beauties. Can't recommend this album enough - definitely a contender for album of the year.

Chris, this review would have been more helpful to me if you'd spent a bit more time talking about the music on the album itself. fyi

I know it's your high opinion, but "Party People" better than any song on Exile on Main Street?! Say what?!
