Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Coen Brothers Collection (Blood Simple/Fargo/Miller's Crossing/Raising Arizona) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
These are TERRIBLE transfers. Honestly, it looks like someone with a home computer took a DVD copy of the movie and just put it on a blu-ray disc. I am highly disappointed as I really love these films.

Love how you write "deets" and then define it also....

For what it's worth, the Blu-ray.com review gave the set 4 out of 5 on video quality. Nothing to write about, maybe, but also nothing to complain about in the scheme of things.
What there is to complain about is why Fox hasn't given us Barton Fink.

I have the set and I think it looks quite decent. I have watched all 4 films and due to the age and style of the films I believe they look great.
US Coen Brothers Collection:
UK Coen Brother Collection including Barton Fink!!! (Pre-order, Region Free? Unknown)

Could you have gotten a Chinese bootleg? I ran into this, from a seemingly reputable Amazon-endorsed supplier, with another DVD set. Might be worth looking into if the quality seems suspect.

Amazon Verified Purchase says it all. Came from A.com so if this reviewer says it looks terrible, the $20 was misspent.

I very much disagree. These movies look pretty damn good on blu, loads better than DVD. They're not reference material I suppose, but they're still quite good.
