This used to be my favorite digital magazine. I am down-rating from 5 stars.
For me, they got everything right until September when they changed their formatting. Now the largest font setting is tiny! I am in my 60s, and this makes reading miserable. I emailed customer service, I spoke to them twice. They said it "looks the same" to them. I spoke to Amazon app support. They said it was an issue at the magazine's end. I took photos of the old format, which is stellar, the new format at the largest font setting, and even printed out a font size sample and photographed the pages side by side to show how small it is. Sent to tech support at The New Yorker. NO RESPONSE!
I will, sadly, not he renewing. I am disappointed. It truly used to be the best digital magazine I had seen. Now Bon Appetit and Rolling Stone get my vote.

Absolutely: the extras (music, film clips, audio, extra cartoons) make it a pleasure. Yes, navigation is a bit odd, but after 30 yrs. In IT, I've come to expect new interfaces over and over and over and over again. <grin>
