Can't say I'm a fan....,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. This thing is nice, because it's thin and light, but that's where it ends.
Previously had (or should I say, currently have) a Vizio 26" LCD. It's miles ahead of this thing in terms of quality and sound. The speakers on this TV are horrifically bad. They are actually giving me a headache.
My primary use for my LCD TV is to hook my laptop up to it on my desk, and my Xbox 360. Both of these are connected via HDMI. I can say that I like having 3 HDMI ports, one more than my Vizio, but that's where the like ends. There's no optical audio input. That means I can't hook my surround sound up to this, and that's an instant deal breaker. The screen is nice and bright... in the center only. The edges look darker, and that's irritating to me, considering I will be sitting in front of it for several hours a day doing school work and writing. Another gripe, the blacks don't look black. The text on websites has a blue tint to it, and it's also very annoying. I've tried messing with the settings, I've changed everything. It's blueish black.
Moral of the story: I'm sure it's decent for a Black Friday deal, but I won't be keeping it. It's going back today.
EDIT: I was going to give it two stars, but I can't really think of any reason it deserves an extra one. The remote feels much cheaper than the Vizio remote does too. Now to unhook it....
