This review is from: 365 Cuentos y Rimas Para Ninos (365 Stories & Rhymes For…) (Spanish Edition) (Hardcover)
This is a pretty book. The illustrations are very colorfull.
The only problem that it has is that was not written originally in spanish.
So the translation is not very good (i'm a native spanish speaker).
The rhymes are not so and it uses a language that is not the daily
one that mexican people use.
I bought this book because i'm teaching spanish to an american little girl (2 1/2).
She loves the ilustrations and i read it to her but changing the weird
words into the common words in spanish.
But anyhow, she loves it and as she is still not reading , she just
watches the pictures and i can tell her the story in my own words, and
she loves that.
And also for the price, i recommend it.

As I'm sure you are aware, there are many dialects of Spanish, so just because the words used in the translation aren't Mexican, does not mean they are not words used by other Spanish speakers in other countries.

Hi Will, i didn't mean there were words that are not mexican. I said they are not the most common words used in the daily talk by mexican people. They are difficult words for children. And all this happens because it is a translation. Anyway the book is pretty and i recommended it. I keep reading it to the little girl i take care of.
