One of my dogs has skin allergies and I wasn't sure if it was from Gluten or filler found in other commercial grade dog food. Someone on here mentioned a dog food analysis Website that rates all dog food ... thank you for that! I went on there and found that the food they had been eating for the past 3 years was 1-star! So searched around a little and found that this Prairie food was 5-star (out of 6-star total). Based on that and the subscribe and save price on amazon and being a prime member it was a done deal for me.
I switched their food cold turkey as both my dogs are very large breeds and have no stomach issues. They took to it right away with no issues.
After 1 month of use my dog still had his hot spots and the only thing that seems to work for him is the fish oil pills. The food didn't do anything in that area. They both have great coats so I didn't really see a difference. I just feel better knowing that it has more protein and not so much filler and comes from good ingredients. Plus it gets shipped right to my door so no complaints here at all.
Was going to rate it 4-star due to no immediate noticeable difference but will rate 5-star since the dog food analysis site also gave it 5 -stars for quality ingredients.
