Does What It Says, but....,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Allergen Wash Laundry Detergent 24 oz. (Misc.)
I'm very allergic to mold and sensitive to mold smells. I bought this to treat moldy smelling clothes and bedding (from an ongoing mold condition) that to my condition were not sufficiently cleaned by other laundry treatments such as Pine Sol, OxyClean MaxForce, vinegar, and borax.
It does what it says it will do, mostly. I was fairly pleased with the results until I was able to get and compare it to using 'old time' "washing soda" as an additive.
I achieved much better results using the washing soda with regular laundry detergent than I got with this or any of the other products mentioned. It also seems the results with the washing soda last longer than the other products.

Since you seem willing to experiment, and since the active ingredient here is Tannin, also found in Black Tea, I'm wondering ... might discolor your clothes though. But if you have dark-colored sheets you could try soaking them in the bathtub, and the result might smell better than with the detergent.

Washing soda can be tough on the skin so be careful. Some individuals may have allergic reactions to it.
