5.0 out of 5 stars He's Cute, Funny, and Animated!, November 20, 2008
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
Length:: 4:36 Mins

Elmo Live will capture your child's imagination with his trademark infectious happiness. He waves his arms, dances, sits on his stool, tells jokes and stories, shows your child how much he loves him/her, laughs, sneezes -- everything you would expect an animated Elmo to do. Other than some mechanical grinding as he moves, Elmo is all cute. This little guy is a blast!

I bet he's a little loud (gears grinding), but I wonder how the battery life is with those flapping arms all the time? Thanks for the video review.

You're welcome, Tiffany. If any product on Amazon demands a video review, this one does.

I haven't had him long enough to judge the battery life. Because he shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity, that saves the batteries, unlike some toys that stay on longer or until turned off.

I think you can hear from the video review how loud the mechanical noises are. Some children might be frightened by this while others won't care since Elmo's personality is captured.

Outstanding review! The gears grinding put me off and I'm glad I saw this before I bought one. Thank you!

Excellent review! I bought my son one for Christmas the day they hit the stores and I can't wait until we open it Christmas morning. As for the grinding gears noise, it's similar to the sound the Tickle Me Elmo TMX makes. So if no one is bothered by the sounds of the TMX, they shouldn't be bothered by this new Elmo.

I agree, J. Roach. Some adults and kids will hate the noise, while others won't care at all.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such an in-depth review with a video. It helped quite a bit to see what else Elmo can do.

Thanks for the great review! It's helpful to see some instruction on how to activate his actions, etc., and to see him in action! I plan on giving this to my 16-month-old grandson, who loves Elmo, for Christmas. I just hope he likes it and it works out for him. I'm a little concerned that he'll be able to press the pressure points hard enough to activate anything. It looks like you had to apply a little pressure.
