I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend.
I started following Mr. Taubes' suggestions last August 2011.
I just had my annual checkup (May 2012). The results are astounding.
My total cholesterol is down 30% from last year. And I am no longer pre-diabetic.
Not counting calories. Just not eating grains, white starchy vegetables or processed carbs.
Blood pressure and resting heart rate are down too. Lost 30 pounds since August.
Energy is up. I am swimming 2 miles now. Not bad for a guy still shaped more like a barge than like Olympian Phelps.
But making progress.
