1.0 out of 5 stars Did NOT fit my Town and Country !, May 30, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gabriel 49236 Hijackers Air Shocks - 2 Pack (Misc.)
I own a 2000 Town and Country Limited with long wheel base....... My original FACTORY shocks had a wide knuckle at top and bottom. At the top, a wide knuckle kept shock from contacting chassis rails.. These Gabriel shocks DO NOT have a wide knuckle !!!! I tried using spacer bushings but the bolts ended up getting loose, and snapping as i drove !! Plus, i kept losing air pressure !! I dont know if other Town and Country vans have smaller knuckle shocks but these are NOT for the "Limited" model for sure...

They need to ask more details about specific types of cars or vans BEFORE they say "THIS WILL FIT YOUR CAR"... In my case IT DID NOT ! I got the same model saying it would fit my ride directly from the Gabriel shock website,.. so, this is NOT Amazons fault.. It is Gabriel's AND bad data !!

If you own a 2000 T+C van "limited" look at your shocks first... If the bolt knuckle is wider than 2 inches, these Gabriel shocks ARE NOT for you !!!

I have a 1998 T&C LXi unfortunately, a chain (beginning & ending with S) thru away the originals and replaced my nivomats with regular shocks THAT DONT work - since the originals are gone I can't tell if they have the knuckle you are referring to. :( Is there any way to tell if this is going to work on my van?
