nice overview of baby wearing,
This review is from: A Ride on Mother's Back: A Day of Baby Carrying around the World (Hardcover)
This book provides a great multicultural view of babies being carried by family members doing their day to day activities. It is geared to ages 3 years to maybe 8. The illustrations are wonderful, paired with the next page filled half to three-quarters of text. The only "complaint" is that it only hints at how babies are carried in western/US culture (by a photo of the baby in a frame carrier on the dad in the baby's room). Even though baby wearing is less common here, I was expecting to see a page on how babies are carried in US culture. It would make it less exotic so kids don't think just in other cultures. But other than that, really a well done book.
