2.0 out of 5 stars Good when it works..., July 25, 2010
This review is from: Wii Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Arcade FightStick (Video Game)
Ok, so I'm rewriting my earlier one star review after more experience with the stick. From day one, this stick hasn't worked correctly. Sometimes it doesn't register and I have to turn off the Wii and try again. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. My classic controller always works fine, so the problem doesn't lie with my Wiimote or my Wii; it's the stick.

Everybody's heard of MAS and Hori sticks, but Madcatz wasn't well known until a couple years ago. Before that the company was known for low quality products, and it seems like nothing has changed. I learned my lesson. I'm returning this piece of crap and getting a Hori. I should have went with the company with the better reputation and cheaper stick in the first place, but better late than never.

I gave it two stars instead of one because when it actually does work, it's a decent stick.

Captain Wii says:
These sticks are great and built like tanks. They don't just go bad out of the blue like that. This is top quality madcatz right here. It sounds like you wii mote battery is bad more than anything else. The only thing in the stick itself you might want to check is to see if the wire that connects the signals from the joystick to the processing board (or whatever you call it) is connected or lose. If you stick is completely dead though with no lights on at all I'd check your wii mote because its not being provided power.

No, the wii mote is fine and fully charged. Lately the stick has been working most of the time but there are times when it still doesn't work and I have to turn off the Wii and try again. It hasn't been as bad as that second day again, thankfully. I'll give it another few weeks and if it still works most of the time I'll update the review. Even though it still gives me problems it's currently at least worth more than one star.
