MOONLIGHT IN A PICKUP TRUCK was a narration of a high school girl's last ditch effort to make the boy who she has had a crush on for the past three years see her as girlfriend material. I found the narration to be very repetitive but I found the sexual nature of her dreams to be very appropriate for her age. However, I did not like the fact that she was drinking while she was at a party with no apparent chaperones and I hated the fact that she was drinking and driving! The story didn't give enough information to make either the girl or boy three-dimensional; this was especially true for the boy. The story did flow smoothly and the editing was well done so I didn't have any problems actually reading the story until the end. If it weren't for the drinking issues, I would have no problems recommending the book to young adults but I don't think it would appeal to all ages.
