Great Collection of R.E.M. Early Work,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ...And I Feel Fine: The Best of the IRS Years 1982-1987 (Audio CD)
The single disc collection is fine for the casual R.E.M. fan who discovered them after they left I.R.S. The I.R.S. years will always be the fondest time for me. I haven't had much time to listen to both discs but any hardcore R.E.M. fan worth their salt will pick up the Collector's Edition with the accompanying DVD. This is the best collection of their early work and a document to what a great band they were before they blew up. Although, R.E.M. put out good records on Warner Bros.; the quality wasn't as consistent as it was on the I.R.S. label. This collection made me feel real nostalgic.
