Bleeds color when washed!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Manhattan Toy Winkel Rattle and Sensory Teether Activity Toy (Baby Product)
I was really excited to get this toy for my daughter, because all the reviews were so positive. The toy got dirty so I washed it in some soapy water, this is when it bled green dye all over the wash cloth. If it's bleeding dye from a little soap, who knows how much dye my little one could ingest when she's chewing on it... Needless to say I threw it out.

I was worried about this review, but bought the toy anyway based on the other positive reviews. I'm glad I did. This toy is molded plastic and is not dyed. It's impossible for it to "bleed" dye.

I have had one of these for 7 years. I agree that it is molded plastic. I wash mine in the dishwasher (top rack) and have never had a problem with it loosing color. Maybe something got on yours?

Are you sure it wasn't your washcloth that did the bleeding?? I washed mine in hot water and it didn't do anything.

It sounds like there is a counterfeit problem. The item I bought at the toy store could not possibly bleed colors. That is scary. Who knows what chemicals babies are being exposed to.
