Very comprehensive coverage,
This review is from: SOA: Principles of Service Design (Hardcover)
Delivering on the promise of SOA can be very challenging for harried, overworked architects and designers. This book provides a good foundation to help you get started on that path.
For those IT professionals who may be further along the way towards developing their architecture, the book provides detailed explanations and comprehensive examples of how to leverage service oriented design principles to ensure the most optimal SOA architecture implementation. What's really nice is that Erl shows how each design principle interacts with its peers, since no principle exists in a vacuum.
The book is very much focused on applying its lessons to real-world examples; I found the case studies to be extremely well thought out, and provide realistic, in-depth coverage of the scenarios likely to be encountered on a real project.
